* MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine (for MBChB graduates or equivalent) Brief description: This MSc programme has been designed for students with an MBChB degree (or equivalent) who are interested in pursuing a Master in Science degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine. The MSc programme consists of course work (67%) and a research assignment (33%). Lectures will be given twice per year, during one week visits to the Tygerberg Campus of Stellenbosch University, with an additional block week at the end of the year for examinations. This structure allows students living outside of the Cape Town / Stellenbosch region and international students to enroll for this MSc course. Requirements: MBChB degree or a equivalent qualification NQF level: 9 Credits: 180 credits Duration: 2-4 years Course Modules: General Medical Aspects in Sport and Exercise Medicine (30 credits) Sport and Exercise Medicine in Special Populations (15 credits) Exercise Related Injuries (45 credits) Basic Sciences in Sport and Exercise Medicine (30 credits) Research Assignment (60 credits) |
