research impact
The impact of research can be quantified by not only the amount of publications of a researcher but also by how many other researchers refer to the published work. The Hirsch or H-factor reflects the research impact of a researcher by looking at both the productivity as well as the amount of times other researcher refer to his of her work
An H-factor of 4 indicates that a researcher has at least published 4 articles, which each have been referenced at least 4 times.
The H-factors therefor reflects both the quantity as well as the quality of the published work of a researcher.
